We believe that yes you should check prices with other firms, but also importantly that you should find out how they actually work and design.
Here are some simple questions that we would ask:
- Does the basic package price suddenly increase drastically because you want to add a simple page or that extra picture?
- Find out if they want to lock you into monthly management fees and can you move you site elsewhere.
- Are they really independent or do they have deals that benefit them from your hosting and domain names?
- Will they offer to give you marketing advice on content and presentation, or will they just post only your text unless you take out a consultancy deal?
